Hi everyone, and welcome to another episode of The Monday Break(Through).
Last week, I spoke with Martina Flor, and at the end of our conversation, she said something that’s been echoing in my mind ever since:
“Time is the most important resource you have. And it’s the one you need to be managing the most.”
And that made me stop. Because when you think about it, time isn’t just something that passes. It’s something we spend—and whether we realize it or not, we’re making investments every second of the day. The question is: where is your time going?
We all have it. It’s the one thing that’s completely fair in this life—whether you’re at the start of your career or at its peak, whether you’re creating something new or figuring things out. We all have the same 24 hours. No matter your background, no matter your education, we all have the same 24 hours.
So if you paused right now and looked at your last 24 hours, your last week, or even just the last couple of hours—does it feel like time well spent? Or does it feel like you’re pouring it into things that don’t really matter to you?
I’ve been catching myself doing this lately—going through the motions of the day and then suddenly stopping, mid-task, mid-scroll, mid-thought, and asking: Is this really the best use of my time?
And it’s not really about productivity or working more hours. It’s about more important things:
• Is this leading me somewhere meaningful?
• Is this time going towards something I actually care about?
• Or am I just spending it on autopilot?
Because time, once spent, doesn’t come back. We can always make more money. We can always start new projects. But we can’t create more time.
So I’ll leave you with this: Today, at some point—maybe right now, maybe in an hour—pause for a second and ask yourself: Is this the best use of my time?
And if the answer is no… well, maybe it’s time to shift things, even in the smallest way. Think about it.
Thanks for listening to this episode of The Monday Break(Through). See you next week, everyone.
